Plumbing Permits

PLUMBING / POOL / SHED / DECK PERMITS

PLUMBING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED:

* when adding on or relocating plumbing and or fixtures in a bathroom or kitchen
* when adding a boiler or water heater
* when changing underground piping
* when installing a gas fire place

POOL PERMITS: ARE REQUIRED IN MOST TOWNS

Pool permits sometimes are the most overlooked permits to be obtained by homeowners. Most homeowners hire pool companies to install their pools and feels that if a pool company did the installation that it must be legal. Experience has shown that some pool companies fail to obtain the proper permits and leave the homeowner stuck with a pool needing a permit or even a variance when the time comes to sell their home.

SHED PERMITS: ARE NOT ALWAYS REQUIRED BY CERTAIN TOWNS

In some towns it is legal for you to have a shed of a certain size in the proper zoning location without a permit. Shed permits are often overlooked as well by homeowners.

DECK PERMITS: ARE NOT ALWAYS REQUIRED BY CERTAIN TOWNS

In most towns if a deck is under 18” a permit is not required by the Town.
Deck over 18” are in need of a proper building permit.
